"Carnforth Rangers lost ground on the League leaders and suffered a blow to its chances when they were held to a 0-0 draw with lowly Swarthmoor Social Club in the first since both gained promotion to the Premier Division. The game was lucky to have been played and was only given the green light after two pitch inspections by the referee, due to parts of the ground being frozen. The game was announced played at 2-00pm.Carnforth Rangers took the game to Swarthmoor from the start and were frustrated by a well organised defence. Things were not made easy when Carnforth Rangers were reduced to 10 players, just before half time. But the Swarthmoor side could not capitalise on this, although they had enough chances to have won the game. This one point moves Swarthmoor seven points clear of a relegation spot."
